Google Docs for offline applications
Google announced that it is planning to take its Google Docs application from online to offline too. Users will now be able to do editing of their word processing files in computers that are not connected and can then sync them up with Docs accounts whenever they have access to the internet. This move is sure to shake the base of the Microsoft’s word that has been ruling world for long.

Yahoo for mobile
Yahoo has introduced a new search service for mobiles called oneSearch. The next-generation search system includes services like predictive search and voice controlled search which will adapt to users vocal patterns. Yahoo plans to beat the other competitors in the race by making it available to third parties. The service will allows users to do yahoo search in a quick, easy and in an affective manner.

IBM to control Hacker menace
IBM has unveiled a new project that will control the hackers menace especially in the virtualized environments. The project named “Phantom” requires different approach to control hackers than in physical approach. SO, it uses a approach similar VMware’s VMsafe. This was released in the RSA 2008 conference. This project will target to locate and disrupt malicious communications between virtual computers.

Big screen viewing using pocket projectors
Though lots of applications support viewing in mobile phones, iPod etc. Still viewing them in a small screen has been a big problem. To solve this problem many companies have introduced gadgets and pocket projectors that will convert videos from a six millimeter screen to a six foot projection. These projectors are called pico projectors and could easily be carried around in your pockets without any discomfort.
