Summer is on in Chennai. It getting unbearably hot in Chennai. Know for the hot humid days chennai is living up to its name in the past few days with the humidity level reaching upto 95% on some occasions. With the "Agni Nakshatram" around the corner it is only going to rise and let's hope the situation gets better.

Hot Favorites in IPL

Well, here is an analysis of the hot favorites in the ongoing IPL league.
With a formiddable bowling line up and a good top order Delhi Daredevils top the list followed closely by SRK's Kolkata knight riders. Chennai Superkings though laggingin bowling has good depth in batting and is also a hot favorite. The punjab Kings XI and Rajasthan Royals will remain the underdogs with a very yound and inspired teams. Lets see whether my prediction goes right.

Game and Glam

Now that IPL is making waves among the cricket crazy fans around the world. But, I have an increasing fear that glam and money is taking over the game. The unnecessary addition of the cheerleaders in skimpy clothes and lifting of the bidding amount from the next edition has been the base on which my fears are based. Let’s hope whatever happens the spirit of the game does not get spoiled.

New Cool IBM servers

IBM is introducing a new range of servers that will reduce power consumption and also produce less heat. Due this the servers will not need a air conditioning system to cool it off. The server is mainly aimed at the iDataplex and web 2.0 services. These servers can be liquid cooled and minor changes will let it work with air conditioners.

IPL takes off

Finally the IPL has taken off in a grand way and all the entertainment is at its peak. Everyone is very keen on the results. Though at first all lauded a good performance soon it is becoming a game where the loyalty of the state is taking over. Performances are being forgotten, values missed and only results matter. On the bright side the game is still on and the youngsters getting a real exposure on what it will be on an international arena.

New Black Berry reduces button use

Now, it’s the turn of BlackBerry to introduce the voice search applications. The service will enable the users to check traffic and more with the voice control. BlackBerry is in line with the Yahoo which introduced its voice search application oneSearch2.0. The company is also trying to develop similar voice search facilities for other platforms like iPhone and Windows mobile.

Video Service for PS3

Sony is considering the option of video on demand for its playstation users. This service may take effect right from this summer. This may well give a big blow to the Blue ray discs since most of the Blue ray disc players are PS3. If such an service is available the playstation will never be required to leave their house for gaming.

The idea is to allow different yahoo applications to be accessed by logging on once the idea used by google. To enable this Yahoo is rewriting its architecture inside out. It is also opening its Open source platform to developers. So, let’s hope the embattled portal regroups and hits back.
